Sheen

Showing off some fountain pen ink sheen from my WIP journal.

I use different pens and inks for each project, tuning the colors and flow and even their scent to suit the project’s vibe. My WIP takes place primarily in the early 1980’s, and one of the main characters has a “thing” with color, so these seemed highly appropriate.

Paper is Yamamoto Cosmo Air Snow in a journal made by Galen Leather.

Organic Studios Nitrogen is a gorgeous ink, but it’s also the most insidiously gummy inks I own. I’ve heard lots of stories of people plugging up their pens with it (and I have a few of my own). For what it’s worth, it’s behaved very well in the TWSBI 580 ALR. No plugging up, no leaks.

If you keep a journal for your writing projects, let me know the paper, pens, and inks you use below in the comments!
